The complete ENERGIN® product line

Every product below shares one heart: RSE's own M-series gas engine, built in-house in Mendig, Germany. Choose power only, power plus heat, or a full MW-scale plant — Tomris supplies them all.

The platform

ENERGIN® M-Series Gas Engines

Turbocharged lean-burn V-engines with 4-valve cylinder heads, designed and manufactured by RSE exclusively for stationary power — not adapted from truck engines. The in-house block is the reason these units reach the highest electrical efficiencies in their class.

Power only

ENERGIN® GEN Generator Sets

For sites that need electricity, not heat: captive power in parallel or island mode, 115–500 kW per unit, paralleled for MW-scale demand.

  • Up to 42.7% electrical efficiency — top of its class, driven by the in-house engine.
  • Set-mounted ENERSCREEN touchscreen control with generator protection, synchronizing, and mains protection.
  • Generator circuit breaker mounted on the set — less switchgear to engineer on site.
  • Remote radiator included; sound-attenuating enclosure optional.

TYPICAL USE

Prime & continuous power

Utilities, remote industry, oil & gas, micro-grids, and anywhere grid power is expensive or unreliable. Fully pre-packaged for fast installation — the base building block of PPT power plants.

Unit range 115–500 kW · Electrical up to 42.7%

TYPICAL USE

Power + usable jacket heat

Sites with modest heat demand — warm water for processes, buildings, or pools — or those using hot exhaust directly (e.g., drying, steam in a separate boiler).

Electrical up to 42.7% · Overall up to 70.2%
Power + partial heat recovery

ENERGIN® GEN+ Generator Sets

All the GEN features, plus heat recovery from engine jacket water and lube oil. Exhaust heat can be used separately or left unused.

  • Heat recovery from jacket water and lube oil built in at the factory.
  • Electric pre-lubrication pump doubles as oil-change drain pump.
  • Automatic lube-oil make-up tank with level control for unattended operation.
Full cogeneration

ENERGIN® CHP Cogenerators

Everything the engine produces gets used: heat recovery from jacket water, lube oil, AND exhaust — cooled to 120 °C on natural gas (180 °C on biogas) — delivering hot water alongside electricity.

  • Total efficiency up to 91.6% — most of every unit of fuel becomes power or heat.
  • Entire CHP build-out — mechanical, electrical, software — designed in-house by RSE.
  • Primary exhaust silencer set-mounted; residential-grade secondary silencer optional.
  • One factory warranty covering engine, heat recovery, and controls together.

ENERGIN® PPT Power Plants — 25 MW and beyond

Modular field power on industrial and oil & gas sites

Serious megawatt power built from paralleled M12 GEN G500 units, typically containerized. RSE's standardized reference designs span 2–25 MW — and because units simply parallel, the configuration is limitless. Packaging is built to order — open skid, sound enclosure, or 40 ft container (≈1 MW per container), with or without sound attenuation — and factory lead times run 12 weeks to 12 months depending on order size. Many small standardized engines beat one big engine — here's why:

Availability by design

The probability of one 2 MW engine failing is vastly higher than four 500 kW engines failing at once. Lose a unit — the plant keeps producing.

Efficiency at part load

To follow load, individual engines stop while the rest run at full rating — at full efficiency. No big engine idling inefficiently.

20–40% lower parts cost

Spare-parts cost per kWh runs 20–40% below large engines of other brands. Standardization means one parts inventory for the whole plant.

Fast, cheap installation

Fully pre-packaged units with pre-manufactured radiator piping, handled by forklift. No overhead cranes, no massive foundations.

Half the overhaul downtime

Minor overhauls take about half the downtime of large engines, with little demand for special tooling.

Compact footprint

Roughly 20% less volume than equivalent large-engine plants thanks to lower unit height — despite only ~10% more floor area.
